Upgraded Design and Features of MP 1000w DE fixture
The Master Pursuit range features a new horizontal case to reflector design that allows for additional canopy space. This redesigned case design is reinforced to protect the fixture's internal components and incorporates heat sinks with a larger surface area, which translates to better heat dispersion, additional protection, longer fixture life, and improved efficiency performance.

AI Ignition Control
When utilized in automated multiple light applications, this groundbreaking feature, which is unique to our products, makes the GC Series Digital Ballast the safest and most reliable ballast. When many units are connected to the same power supply, our integrated Ignition Control software will completely balance the electrical pull by igniting one bulb at a time to prevent electrical surges and spikes that might overload the power supply and trip circuit breaker systems. This feature is activated in conjunction with our 'Soft Start Technology' for added efficiency.
Soft Start Technology
Soft Start Technology extends lamp life by preventing lamp overload and stopping current surge to the lamp. When starting the ballast from cold, there will be a 3-second fixed delay before ignition. Following ignition, there will be a series of random 0-2 second delays before reaching full brightness after around 3-5 minutes. When using the 'Smart-Step' option to increase and decrease power to the lamp, SoftStart Technology is also active.
Re-Strike of Hot Lamp after Mains Failure
The GC Series Digital Ballast employs a timed re-strike technology, which prevents the ballast from hitting a hot light after a power outage. If a hot light is identified, the re-strike will be delayed for 60 seconds until the lamp cools enough to be re-ignited. The software 'SmartStart Ignition Control' and 'Soft Start Technology' then control re-ignition.
Lamp Compatibility
The GC Series Digital Ballast can be used with any high-quality HPS, Metal Halide, or Ceramic Metal Halide lamp. Grower's Choice horticulture lamps are recommended for a guaranteed perfect fit and the greatest outcomes. Grower's Choice bulbs have been designed to work with high-efficiency electronic ballasts with variable output.
High Energy Efficiency
The GC Series Digital Ballast is up to 30% more efficient than ordinary magnetic ballasts, providing more lumens per watt of energy spent. Efficiency does not degrade and is maintained throughout the life of the device.
Automatic Frequency Adjustment
The GC Series Digital Ballast automatically adjusts its output frequency to ensure a steady output despite changes in input power and ageing lights. This also eliminates 'light flicker.'
Full Circuit Protection
The GC Series Digital Ballast employs a sophisticated software-controlled circuit-breaking system not found in other manufacturers’ ballasts. The system safeguards against a variety of defects, including open circuit protection, short circuit protection, overvoltage protection, under-voltage protection, and overtemperature protection. On ignition, the ballast performs a three-second circuit test, and if a fault is detected, the ballast enters a protection mode to prevent damage to the ballast and lamp.
Running Temperature
The unique case design of the GC Series Digital Ballasts functions as a superior heat sink, allowing the ballast to run extremely cool without the use of internal fans.
RF Shielding
The GC Series Digital Ballast offers better RF Shielding with less than 10% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), which means it will not interfere with television or radio devices.
